Richard A. Merker
Attorney Rick Merker joined the law firm of Feldman, Fox & Morgado in 2011. Graduating cum laude from the University of Florida in 2004 Attorney Merker received his Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Marketing and Minor in Philosophy. He then graduated in 2007 from the most reputable public law school in the state, Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.
While at the Levin College of Law, he received honors in Advanced Legal Research and Advanced Appellate Advocacy. Working in the Virgil Hawkins Legal Clinic assisting Family Law Litigants, Merker was a legal intern certified by the Florida Supreme Court and received a prestigious book award. He was the first legal intern working at the Virgil Hawkins Legal Clinic to assist a client suffering from total visual impairment.
Following his graduation from the Levin College of Law, he worked as law clerk for DeCarlis, Sawyer, and Alba, P.A. for a year. Merker then ventured out on his own in 2009 as a solo practitioner in Gainesville, FL. From that office, he provided legal services in the following areas: Contracts, Landlord Tenant, Wills and Estates, Small Business, and Various Unbundled Legal Services.
